After 20 years of listening to my Wife complain about my snoring and restless sleep, I finally made an appointment at the sleep clinic to have the issue evaluated. Well, it turns out my Wife was right (as usual), and I was told I did in fact have a significant case of sleep apnea. I ordered a CPAP machine and was fitted for a mask.

Being that I am a side sleeper, every toss or turn caused my mask to pull and resulted in the break of the ever important seal. I anticipated I would need some time to get used to wearing the mask, but I never expected to be disturbed by the supply hose. A good night’s rest was now being hampered by my fight with a plastic corrugated tube.
So I turned to the internet to search for a fix and there was none to be found.
And, alas, the Freedom Strap was born.

This strap is worn around your chest and contains a hook that transfers the tension from the face mask to the hook in the center of the strap. The tube is now allowed to move freely with you to increase comfort and mobility. Using this Freedom Strap has allowed me to become accustomed to wearing the mask and allowed me to continue receiving the very important benefit of the CPAP machine to achieve a safe and peaceful night’s sleep. At last, I awake well rested and ready for my day.

This strap allows the User to secure the supply tube to a designated loop in the center of the strap which secures the supply tubing in a desired position, and decreases the pull against the mask, trachea port or other breathing element.
